Wichita Knitters’ Guild

June 21st, 2017 Meeting Program

Summer is here!
Now is the time to put down heavy items and focus on educating ourselves on the ins & outs of knitting…MATH being one of them!!
(no eyerolling, please ;o))

EPS

Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Percentage System

We love sweaters, we don’t love math (for the most part). But, math is often necessary in our knitting so we should familiarize ourselves with it.
We’ll talk about apps, websites, and the basics of knitting math as well as go over the classic EPS, Elizabeth’s Percentage System of math to create your own sweaters.
Please come prepared to take notes, lots of notes.

Elections are also this month, we have no current nominations but we’ll ask for nominations from the floor for positions.
We would also like to welcome 2 new positions to our Guild team;
Education Director – Deb Romero
Social Media Director – Rachel Kashani

Bring your Show & Share items marked as per the new guidelines, please:

    • Please use an index or note card and write down all pertinent information for the item(s) you will be sharing:

      • your Ravelry username

      • pattern name

      • yarn name

      • your comments/thoughts on the project

      • When you arrive, please bring your show & share items to the designated table so others can have a look at them before the meeting. When show & share begins a board member will hold up your item and invite you to share.
