Teresa has brought a new charity to our attention, details below:
GUYS!!!! HELP CALL OUT!!!! A friend of Teresa’s who is a nurse at a children’s hospital in Miami is in desperate need of blankets for bereavement care. These blankets are used to cover the child’s wounds and medical equipment while the family says goodbye for the last time.
The friend made contact with me because one of her children died last week and she was unable to provide him with a blanket and was utterly heartbroken about it.
Blankets can be any color combination (please though nothing too dark or gloomy) and can be knit, crocheted, or quilted.
Size needed is lap quilt down to baby quilt size.
If you have some extra blankets hanging around that could go to a grieving family, please let Teresa Lee know. She’d love to pick them up from you and get them sent off. Biggest need right now is boy or neutral but girl will work as well if you have it and want to send it! THANK YOU!
