Unbeknownst to us, the library closed at 5pm tonight, so no evening meeting.

Teresa has brought a new charity to our attention, details below:
GUYS!!!! HELP CALL OUT!!!! A friend of Teresa’s who is a nurse at a children’s hospital in Miami is in desperate need of blankets for bereavement care. These blankets are used to cover the child’s wounds and medical equipment while the family says goodbye for the last time.

The friend made contact with me because one of her children died last week and she was unable to provide him with a blanket and was utterly heartbroken about it.

Blankets can be any color combination (please though nothing too dark or gloomy) and can be knit, crocheted, or quilted.

Size needed is lap quilt down to baby quilt size.

If you have some extra blankets hanging around that could go to a grieving family, please let Teresa Lee know. She’d love to pick them up from you and get them sent off. Biggest need right now is boy or neutral but girl will work as well if you have it and want to send it! THANK YOU!

October Meetings

When: October 17th

Where: Advanced Learning Library 711 W 2nd St N, Wichita, KS 67203

Times: 10:30am-12:30pm + 6-8pm

What to Bring, What We Are Doing

Resources + How to Use Them
We will be going over different resources that we can use + learn from in our knitting.
Please bring any books, magazines, and/or names of websites, podcasts, vlogs, Youtube channels, etc that you use in your knitting.
Do you have a specific place you go for a refresher on a stitch technique or repair? Share it!
Do you have a favorite designer that you feel has expanded your knitting knowledge? Share it!
We all go to different places for different issues in our knitting; knowledge + skill building, fixing mistakes, refreshers on the basics.

We’ll hopefully have the overhead projector this month, but no guarantee, so plan on taking notes!!

Just a reminder, November is our charity knitting month so think ahead and work on some donations!
